Tom is an independent investor and the Co-CEO of The Swan Group which operates businesses in North America, Asia and Europe that manufacture and distribute heating, plumbing, well water and water treatment products that are sold in most parts of the world. Previously, Tom was an investment banker in San Francisco. He began his career practicing law. He graduated from Harvard College and Georgetown Law School. Tom is a member of the board of directors of the Family Equality Council, a national organization whose mission is to celebrate all families and ensure legal and lived equality for LGBTQ families. He also serves on the board of the Los Angeles Youth Network (LAYN), a group that serves the city’s most vulnerable foster children. Tom was a 25th Reunion Campaign co-chair for his Harvard College class, and continues to serve as a class co-chair, and he is a long standing form agent for St. Paul’s School. Tom is an “only” dad of Sam and Rose, opposite sex twins born in January 2015 and twin daughters, Grace and Hope, who were born in December 2017. Both sets of twins were born through gestational surrogacies. The Swans live in Los Angeles and Cape Cod. Tom enjoys any outdoor activity and reading.
