John is the Founder, CEO and Chief Medical Officer of Nexus Health Systems. He has developed a neurospecialty continuum of care with four hospitals and one residential facility located in both the greater Houston and Orange County metropolitan areas. The organization is dedicated to helping patients return to lives of productivity and meaning following acquired traumatic brain injury (TBI). John was honored as a 2018 Health Care Hero/Outstanding Health Care practitioner by the Houston Business Journal. He has spoken at nearly 100 national and international conferences on his specialty and participated in training courses for post graduate students wanting additional training in TBI in Germany, Italy and Great Britain. John has also authored three books, a number of specialized journal articles and editorials involving the behavioral management of TBI patients. John completed his specialty medical training at Harvard Medical School at both the Massachusetts General and McLean hospitals. He also served on the faculty of Harvard Medical School at McLean Hospital while founding the first neuropsychiatry program in the country.
