Bill is the former chairman, president and CEO of BayBanks, Inc. and former chairman of the board and chairman emeritus of BankBoston (the combined entity now part of Bank of America). He is currently a trustee emeritus of the New England Historic Genealogical Society and honorary director of the Nantucket Land Council. A native of suburban New York City, Bill graduated from Yale University with a BA in economics and from the Harvard Graduate School of Business with an MBA with distinction.
